The Ladies
I'm a sailor. I feel about sailboats like some folks feel about stray dogs and cats. These once lovely ladies lie near the casinos. Storm ravished, like so much chattle, they lie abandoned upon a railroad levee. I wonder if their owners mourn their loss? Did they put up a good fight? Did they drag their anchors as far and for as long as they could? Did they run valiantly before the wind and tide knowing what lay ahead?
